You pay for live minutes, not for having the app
Downloading, installing, uploading avatars and browsing your dashboard all cost nothing. The meter starts when a live session starts, and stops when you stop it.
Stop the session, not just the stream
This is the single biggest one. Ending a stream or leaving a call does not end the session — the app keeps processing until you stop it. Get into the habit of stopping it as you close things down.
Set up before you start
Choose your avatar, size your OBS source and check your lighting before going live. Ten minutes of fiddling while a session runs is ten minutes billed.
Watch the balance in the app
Your credits and estimated minutes remaining are shown in the app while a session runs. If the balance reaches zero the session stops cleanly and tells you why — it can never go negative, and there is no surprise bill.
