Content and Conduct Rules
This page says what you may and may not do with Guisera. It forms part of our terms of service, and breaking it can cost you your account and any unused credits.
We have been specific rather than vague. A rule you have to guess at is a rule you will break by accident.
1. Why this page is longer than you might expect
Guisera makes you look like someone else, live, convincingly enough that the person on the other end of a call may not be able to tell. That is the product. It is also, in the wrong hands, a tool for deceiving people about who they are talking to.
We would rather draw the line clearly than pretend the risk is not there. Most of what follows comes down to two questions: does the person whose face this is agree, and does the person watching understand what they are seeing.
2. Consent: whose face you may use
You may use a reference image of:
- Yourself. Always fine.
- Someone who has agreed. A real person who knows what you are doing and has said yes to it.
- A fictional or synthetic character that is not a recognisable real person, where you have the right to use the image.
You may not use a reference image of a real person who has not agreed. That includes public figures, celebrities, colleagues, ex-partners, and strangers whose photographs you found online. "It was on the internet" is not consent.
Consent can be withdrawn. If someone tells you to stop using their likeness, stop.
3. Deception
You may not use the service to make someone believe they are speaking to a specific real person when they are not. Concretely, do not use it to:
- pose as a real individual in a call, interview, or meeting;
- pass identity verification, a KYC check, a proctored examination, or any process designed to confirm who you are;
- obtain money, credentials, or information by appearing to be someone else;
- fabricate a statement or event and present it as real footage of a real person.
Entertainment is different from deception. Streaming as a cartoon character, presenting as an avatar, or using a synthetic face for privacy are all fine — the audience understands the frame. The line is crossed when someone is led to believe a specific real person is present, and is harmed or misled by believing it.
4. Sexual content
- Never involving minors. Any sexual or suggestive content depicting a person under 18, real or synthetic, is absolutely prohibited. We report it to the relevant authorities and close the account permanently and without notice.
- Never a real person without consent. Do not place a real person's likeness into sexual content unless that person has explicitly agreed.
- Adult content involving consenting adults using their own likeness, or a fictional one, is a matter for you and the platform you are streaming to — but their rules apply as well as ours.
5. Harassment and hate
Do not use the service to harass, threaten, stalk, or humiliate anyone, or to promote hatred or violence against people because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Using someone's likeness to mock or degrade them is harassment, whether or not you find it funny.
6. Illegal use
Do not use the service to commit a crime, to plan one, or to evade investigation of one. This includes fraud, extortion, distributing material that is illegal to possess, and circumventing sanctions.
7. Technical misuse
Do not:
- attempt to extract, copy, reverse-engineer, or retrain the underlying AI models, or use our service to build a competing one;
- create accounts automatically, or create additional accounts to claim the sign-up credit more than once;
- share one account between several people;
- probe, scan, or attempt to break the security of our systems — if you have found a vulnerability, please tell us instead at info@guisera.online;
- interfere with the service's operation, or with anyone else's use of it.
8. Other platforms have rules too
If you stream to a third-party platform, its policies apply on top of ours. Several major platforms require you to disclose synthetic or manipulated media. Complying with that is your responsibility, not ours.
9. How we enforce this
We do not monitor the content of your sessions, and we cannot: your camera feed is processed live and we do not record it. See How the AI works for what that means in practice.
We act on reports. When we receive one, we look at the account, the payment record, and the pattern of use — not at video, because there is none to look at. Depending on what we find, we may:
- warn the account holder;
- suspend the account while we look further;
- close the account permanently, forfeiting unused credits;
- report the matter to law enforcement, which we do without hesitation where a child is involved.
If your account is actioned we will tell you why, unless the law prevents us, and you can appeal to info@guisera.online.
10. Reporting a problem
If someone is using Guisera to impersonate you or to harm someone, tell us. You do not need an account to report it, and you do not need to be certain — we would rather look at ten reports that come to nothing than miss one that mattered.
Report a problem — what to include, and what happens next.
